Choosing Domain Names > Resources for Choosing Names
Listed below are various tools and links to sites that may assist you in selecting Domain Names.  Each tool has a short description next too it and some have a further explanation on additional pages, just click on the link for more information.
Overture Keyword Suggestion Tool Allows you to view how often people search for a specific term through Yahoo Search Engine.  The higher the number the more searches for it and hopefully more potential traffic for your domain. More Info.
Google Most new domainers rely on Google to figure out good domain names.  Please remember it's a good starting point, but that's about it.  Just search for your keywords and see the number of pages that you get back.  Please look through the pages as the keywords may be used in a totally different way then what you want the site for.  Always use quotes when searching for multiple keywords.  For example "plasma TVs" this returns only those pages with those words together.   Quick Hot use Google Keyword Tool.
Registers It's always useful to see if the domain name your interested in is sold out in the major .TLD's.  Usually these are considered .com, .net, .org, possibly .info, .us or other country TLD's.  Click for a list of Domain Registrars.

WordTracker Free Keyword tool track and they also have a more robust one you can purchase.
Google Google Adwords Keyword Tool you have to estimate the adsense cost based on how many advertisers are using each keyword.  Also use it to identify if your site or article has the right mix of keywords.
Vurr Uses AOL "leaked" database
Symbiotic Top 10000 Keyword List by Symbiotic nice list of keywords and Adsense costs just remember it may not be up to date.
NicheBot Another one powered by Wordtracker
SEOTools
Also powered by Wordtracker - ever get the idea WordTracker is a pretty good tool.
Switchboard Another good tool for checking real world name usage is Switchboard.com. If you enter a word there it will return a list of businesses that incorporate the word in their name, complete with their address and phone number! That can be useful if you want to try cold calling to market your domain names, though I have never found that to be an effective means of selling domains. We’ll talk about what is effective a bit later in this article.

Paid Keyword Tools

WordTracker Provides additional tools for finding keywords.
Keyword Discovery Provides a decent tool for findining keywords based on a huge database.
